Payments & Card Processing

At the Junior Premier League (JPL), we take payment security and transparency seriously. This page explains how payments are taken on our website and how your card details are protected.

How payments are processed

All online payments made through the JPL website are processed securely by Stripe, a leading global payment provider used by organisations worldwide. JPL does not process card payments directly.

Card security

JPL never sees or stores your full card details. Card information is entered directly into Stripe’s secure, encrypted payment system. Stripe is fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Where available, Stripe may allow you to save your card details for future payments. This only happens with your consent and is managed entirely by Stripe.

Accepted payment methods

We accept debit and credit cards and other payment methods supported by Stripe. Available options will be clearly displayed during checkout.

Payment confirmation

A payment is complete once:

  • Stripe confirms that the payment has been successful, and
  • You receive confirmation on screen and/or by email.
  • If a payment fails or is interrupted, the booking or registration will not be confirmed.

Failed or declined payments

If a payment is declined or later reversed:

  • Any outstanding amounts remain payable.
  • We may suspend or cancel the relevant registration or participation.
  • Refunds:

Refunds

Refunds are subject to the relevant JPL cancellation and refund terms for the programme, competition, or event you have booked.

Where a refund is approved:

  • It will be processed back to the original payment method via Stripe.
  • Timescales may vary depending on your bank or card provider.
